Every strategic choice made by the Gallozzi Group is carefully evaluated in terms of social and environmental risks, giving rise to the creation of value to be shared with the local area and with the many stakeholders of the group. We promote many projects and show our commitment to the good of society in a variety of ways
Our passion for the sea has always been the leitmotif behind every initiative of the group, including the two sports we back: swimming and water polo.
With the aim of supporting young talent and promoting the practice of the sports to make them accessible to the most people possible in the Salerno area, the Gallozzi Group backs the activities of the Rari Nantes Nuoto Salerno Association.
The pool is a place to come together, a place of social inclusion and a context in which to promote integration, a theme close to the hearts of the Gallozzi family which also backs children’s charity Ai.Bi. Associazione Amici dei Bambini.
At the head of the Salerno section of Ai.bi., Maria and Enrico Gallozzi are involved in projects to sensitise the public to themes such as child abandonment and organise funding drives, often to take place around matches and competitions held by Rari Nantes.
Nature gives us much in the way of opportunity, and we of the Gallozzi Group work with it daily in a responsible manner.
We promote a number of initiatives of this kind. For example: the gradual move towards electric vehicles in the commercial port in order to reduce CO2 emissions, the installation of water treatment plants, and a free bike-sharing service at Marina d’Arechi which allows guests a zero impact way of getting around the marina. The marina itself was designed with sustainability in mind and has a water treatment plant, a blue flag in 2016 and a five star rating from RINA.
These environmentally conscious strategies and many other daily actions along with strict adherence to the highest of quality standards are our way of contributing to sustainable economic development.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Health and safety is a priority for the Gallozzi Group. Those working within the commercial port, on our building sites and as drivers are, by the nature of their jobs, exposed to risk of injury and other dangers.
For this reason, the Group organises training courses on health and safety at work both for them and for those working in safer contexts such as sales and administration, differentiated on the basis of their job descriptions.
For more information about the safety measures adopted at the port, you can consult the ISPS Code (International Ship and Port Facility Security Code) regarding shipping and terminal operations.
